The Bill Hodges Gallery (24 West 57th Street), is currently presenting a solo exhibition of recent works by Danny Simmons. This is Danny’s first solo exhibit at Hodges’ and a pretty extensive one it is. Hodges states, “We are very proud to
exhibit the work of this highly important emerging abstractionist. His captivating images of amoebic fluid-like motions are memorizing.”
Danny took time to sign the exhibition catalogue for buyers at the crowded opening.
Danny, who is a gallery owner himself (Corridor and coo-owner of RUSH ARTS GALLERY) has also distinguished himself as a writer, “Three Days As the Crow Flys” and TV producer, co-founder of Def Poetry Jam and helps run Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation
along with brother,
Business giant Russell Simmons.
The exhibition will hang until April 1. Gallery hours are Tues – Friday 10AM – 6PM, and Saturdays form 12:30 – 5:30.
